Morning Prayer
From Psalm 51
Open my lips, O Lord,
and my mouth shall proclaim Your praise.
Create in me a clean heart, O God,
and renew a right spirit within me.
Cast me not away from Your presence
and take not Your Holy Spirit from me.
Give me the joy of Your saving help again
and sustain me with Your bountiful Spirit.
A Reading: I Peter 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father
of our Teacher Jesus the Messiah!
By His great mercy, we have been
born anew to a living hope
through the resurrection of Jesus, the Messiah,
from the dead.
The Prayer of Awakening
O God,
beyond name and form,
Most Gracious and Most Merciful,
I will meditate daily
and worship You alone.
Grant me the spirit of wisdom
and revelation in the knowledge of You,
that the eyes of my understanding
may be enlightened,
that I might awaken
to the true nature of reality.
Bless me with discernment;
protect me from evil;
help me always walk in love.
May I be a light in the darkness,
a healer to the hurting,
and a guardian for the Earth.
Amen.
Moment of silence
Prayers for ourselves and others
The Teacher’s Prayer
Our Protector and Life-Giver,
Who is transcendent
Holy is Your name.
Your presence come;
You will be done—
On Earth as it is in eternity
Give us this day
our daily nourishment.
And forgive us our unloving acts,
As we forgive those who act unlovingly toward us.
And lead us away from harmful ways,
And deliver us from evil influences
For yours is the wisdom,
the strength, and the beauty—
Now and forever.
Amen.
The Collect
Lord God,
almighty and everlasting Source,
You have brought me in safety
to this new day:
Preserve me with Your mighty power,
that I may not fall into sin,
nor be overcome by adversity;
and in all I do,
direct me to the fulfilling of Your purpose;
through the power of Your love.
Amen.
Optional Midday Pause
O God of light and life,
In the midst of my day,
Let me pause and remember You.
Renew my strength,
Refresh my spirit,
And guide my steps in peace.
Amen.
Evening Prayer
Psalm 134
Behold now, bless the Lord,
all you servants of the Lord,
you that stand by night
in the house of the Lord.
Lift up your hands in the holy place
and bless the Lord;
the Lord who made heaven and earth
bless you out of Zion.
Jeremiah 14:9, 22
Lord, you are in the midst of us
and we are called by your Name:
Do not forsake us,
O Lord our God.
Luke 2:29–32
Lord, You now have set Your servant free
to go in peace as You have promised;
For these eyes of mine
have seen the Savior,
whom You have prepared
for all the world to see;
A Light to enlighten the nations,
and the glory of Your people, Israel.
Penitence for our sins
Have mercy upon me, most merciful God;
in Your compassion, forgive me my sins,
known and unknown,
things done and left undone;
and so uphold me by Your Spirit
that I may live and serve You in newness of life,
to the honor and glory of Your Name;
through the power of Your love.
Amen.

Visit this place, O Lord God,
and drive far from it
all snares of the enemy;
and let Your holy angels dwell with me
to preserve me in peace;
and let Your blessing be upon me always;
through the power of Your love.
Amen.
